Spring Updates

Hi everyone,

I am bit late today, I ran errands this morning to avoid the afternoon April showers. And watching it pour outside now, I am pretty happy I did. I’ve been working on some new pictures of my work for my Etsy shop update. And some new vintage fabric pieces for a store here in Toronto. Its been really lovely to have some creative time just to play around with some ideas. But also, I’ve been relaxing  and enjoying the spring weather.

One of my spring projects is going to be a website and blog update. If it all goes smoothly there shouldn’t be any change to you guys. Hopefully you won’t even notice but it will making things a lot easier for me to upate.

Show Wind Down

Well, I made it through my very first One of a Kind Show. Here’s a look back at my very small table in the Etsy section. It was like craft show bootcamp! I learned a lot. I met some great people. And I got great feedback on my work. So that made the show very worthwhile. But after 5 days I was ready for a rest. Last week, I settled back into my home office and took some time off. And I needed a break. This week, its back it. I will be updating my Etsy shop with the new items I made for the show. And I will be following up some leads.

Also, I’ve got a few new patterns in the works. And I am quite excited about them. So hope you are getting to enjoy some springtime sunshine. We are finally getting some up here. Have a great warm week!

48 Hours until Showtime!

 

It about 48 hours until the show starts. The making portion is done. Now its all about packing, organizing and lots of ironing. I move in tomorrow so today is just about getting ready. And the rest of this week will be at the show. So if you would like to come visit, I’ll be at the One of Kind Show from Wednesday to Sunday.

This will be a quiet week for blopg posting. I will be posting on instagram and twitter so if you want updates go there. Have a lovely week and I hope it included some spring or at least close to spring like weather!

Wishing and Hoping

Its still not spring. Here in Toronto its looking like its going to stay that way. But this weekned I got the pretend it was for a little while at Allan Gardens. If you haven’t been its worth a visit, especially since its free to get in. Now its monday and its back to work. So I am starting off the week on a good note and giving away some tickets to the One of a Kind Show. So click on over to my facebook page if you want to come and visit me.

This week I will be finishing all my work for the show and working on my display. And talking to some current textile students about what its like to be done school. I was joking that I can sum it like this: daunting and exciting.
